DEAN Alert Notification System

The St. Matthews Baptist Church (SMBC)/Broadway Baptist Church (BBC) UPWARD SPORTS League partners with DEAN Alert, a Louisville based emergency notification alert network. DEAN Alert is an extremely effective communication tool that allows our league leadership to get in touch with members of our SMBC/BBC UPWARD SPORTS community instantly, wherever they may be.

The system is able to send emergency notifications and other important news from SMBC/BBC UPWARD SPORTS via text message, email and/or voice message. As an SMBC/BBC UPWARD SPORTS participant, you will be able to select one or all of these communication vehicles during the online enrollment process.

SMBC/BBC UPWARD SPORTS uses the DEAN Alert system for weather related schedule changes and any emergencies, as well as for reminders regarding special events, such as Picture Day and Awards Night. SMBC/BBC UPWARD SPORTS participants are not required to enroll in this network. However, we hope that you will choose to do so. The only cost for using this system is the charge for receiving a text message on your phone (in the event that you do not have an unlimited text messaging service plan).
